Certification Workshop & Certification Testing

The IAED will host a Certification workshop on April 30th. Attendees will have the opportunity to observe two of the IAED's examiner's perform dentistry on horses. Examiners will demonstrate and explain their techniques.

On May 1st the IAED will host the practical portion of IAED Certification. Candidates must pass the written exam with an 80% or higher before attempting the practical. The exam can be taken in their home town via proctor.

The workshop will take place in Jamaica, Virginia at Bridle Creek Veterinary. Dr. Angela Gell Stanaway will be on site to provide direct veterinary supervision and sedation.

Attendees will fly into RIC, Richmond International Airport. Transportation will be provided to attendees who request it in advance, both to and from the airport, as well as, to the testing and workshop site.

Hotels can be found nearby in Tappahanock, VA. Reduced rates for IAED members will be available, so please check back soon for lodging suggestions. 

The workshop is included in the price of testing for candidates already registered for the certification practical.

This workshop has been approved by the IAED for 6 hours of continuing education.
